Worship
In 2 Chronicles 20, it is recorded that Israel was under attack by a conglomeration of the Moabites, Ammonites, and Meunites. As they were marching against Israel, Jehoshaphat did something that no ordinary military ruler would do. Instead of rousing his army to do battle, he sought the Lord and had a giant worship service. Needless to say, because of his faith and that worship service, the alliance was destroyed without Jehoshaphat ever firing an arrow. God destroyed it, because when people worship, God moves. That is the philosophy of worship here at Hopewell. When God's people worship, God moves. With that in mind, different people are affected by different styles of worship; therefore, the goal of the worship ministry at Hopewell is one of inclusion. This inclusion helps to involve everyone so they can engage with God.
You will find most styles of worship being utilized and God really moving.
We have praise a band, worship teams, choir, and small groups, quartets, and soloists for our service and as any church, we are always searching for people with a desire to be a part of the worship leading teams. If you play an instrument or sing, come talk to us and we will get you involved where you will flourish.
God bless you as you seek to be the worshiper God desires you to be.
